Description
●Consisting of multimode fiber and two QSFP+ optical transceiver modules, the 40G QSFP+ AOC features four data channels in each signal direction, with each channel capable of transmitting data at a maximum rate of 11.3Gbit/s. It can achieve a transmission distance of up to 100M, making it an ideal interconnection solution for 40G networks.
●There are various types of 40G QSFP+ active optical cables. For instance, the 40G QSFP+ to QSFP+ active optical cable has 40G optical transceiver modules at both ends, suitable for connecting two 40G switch ports. On the other hand, the 40G QSFP+ to 4*SFP+ active optical cable has a 40G optical transceiver module at one end and four 10G optical transceiver modules at the other, making it suitable for connecting 40G QSFP+ ports with 10G SFP+ ports.
●In practical applications, the 40G QSFP+ AOC active optical cables are widely used in short-distance transmission in data centers due to their advantages of high transmission efficiency, small size, light weight, low power consumption, consistent and repeatable cabling. They are particularly suitable for connecting access layer switches and aggregation layer switches in TOR (Top of Rack) cabling.
